Mike

I was lucky to have the privilege and pleasure to meet John and Betty 64 years ago. I don’t remember much about the day but I will never forget the date, it was December 28. 1952. One of the best days of my life and I would say it was the best day of John and Betty’s life too! (I am sure his sons and daughters would disagree.) Ever since that day, John took me under his wing and helped guide me through life with love and support. Which at times I am sure was not easy, but he stayed with me till the end. Thanks. There is a void in my life and in my heart now. There will be no more hugs and kisses from John. I will not be able to say Merry Christmas or Happy Birthday (May 10). I will miss all the holidays, and will not be able to tell him I love him face to face. “I love you,” three little words that people have a hard time saying. Think about those words, because life is to short not say them to the people we love. I also would like to tell John’s sons and daughters and their families, “Love you guys and thanks for all the support and being there for my family.” John you will be missed. I am proud to be your son. I am proud to call you Dad. Thank you, love you and please keep guiding me through life. Your second and favorite son, Michael Patrick
