Condolences

Condolence From: Joe Crawford and Family
Condolence: Ralph and I coached the "Rowdies" travel soccer team together at Hulmeville Soccer Club. I was always inspired by the energy and enthusiasm he had for coaching youth soccer well into his 70's, and his ability to connect with players of all ages. Ralph was a true gentleman and he always conducted himself as a coach, and a man with total class. I'll always cherish being on the pitch with Ralph and smile when I think of his calm demeanor at watching the game and players he loved. My condolences to the entire Hofmann family.

Condolence: My condolences to Margot and family. Ralph was a great friend to Walt and myself and a great coach. He will be sorely missed. Him and Walt are probably running up and down the big soccer field in the sky right now and of course yelling at each. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this hard time.

Condolence: To The Hofmann Family,
Thank you for sharing "Hof" with the Bensalem community for so many years and for so many kids. That smile and chuckle that he gave you, even when he was mad, was priceless. We believed in him because he believed in us-I will cherish being a player of his but more importantly I will cherish the fact that I knew the most selfless person that ever existed. He even roped me into his newspaper delivery job-bc he probably knew that I needed guidance off of the field. He turned me into a coach, my senior year at LaSalle. Handing over the whistle to his weekend group at Snyder. Summer League for so many....newspapers for shin guards and a passion for soccer like no other. May his memory be a blessing. Bensalem and the soccer community, lost a gentle, passionate, pioneer of a man

Condolence: Mark and family, I was so sorry to learn of the news of Ralph's passing. Ralph was such a huge help to me when I was coaching youth teams at Southampton or my high school teams at Ryan and Father Judge. He was a gentle man full of class. Clearly one of the finest men I have ever met in my life. I learned much from Ralph about life and a little soccer along the way as well..... as I am sure have so many others. I must share a great story, years ago he was coaching a Bucks county HS all star team and I was coaching the Philly team....the winner was going to the Keystone Games in Wilkes Barre for 3 days and Ralph won the game. He was to be the head coach and I was his assistant for the tournament. He called me the day after the game and said will you please accept the responsibility to be the head coach as I need to back out. I asked if everything was ok and he said yes, but I found out the tournament is over the Father's day weekend and I feel I should be home for my family for that holiday. What a lesson from a great family man.
Prayers for all of the Hoffman's. Dave

Condolence: We had so many really good years with Hoff when he coached our daughters Cheryl and Danielle. But Ralph's soccer coaching (and he was an outstanding coach) was overshadowed by his cheerfulness and integrity as a person. If ever there was a role model for an athlete, Hoff was that.
Condolences to his family; you were gifted with a wonderful man.

Condolence: Coach you pushed me and pushed me because you saw more than I did in me. Some of my best memories are playing for you, especially the upset of Counsel Rock my senior year. You dedicated so much of your time without an expectation of compensation. You represented the best of our community. I am proud to call you coach and friend. Rest In Peace coach!!
