During a really nasty storm a tree limb came through a front window of our house. There were shards of glass embedded in the wall across the room from the window that was broken. My husband was at work, due to the storm. I called him to let him know what had happened. I was cleaning up the mess and posted on Facebook for folks to stay away from windows if they have trees and to be safe. My husband called his brothers to come over and fix the window. In the meantime, Sharon and Billy saw what was happening at my house and Bill walked up the street with a tool box and a ladder. He found plywood and boarded up the window. Never asked him for help, he just showed up. That is what he and Sharon do - they just show up, no matter what is happening in their own lives, they show up! When I tell people about living in the village, I tell them this story. It's what people do. I hope that continues in the future! He was an amazing man, who married an amazing woman. Together, they created a beautiful family of 3 beautiful girls that continue to "show up" and always help. You all make the world a better place. I hope he is raising all sorts of chaos, just as he did as a young boy at Conklin Pool - getting all of the lifeguards wet from the diving boards! REst well Billy - you deserve it. You fought a LONG, hard fight. Thank you for showing the world what it is like to be a beautiful human being. Love your ever thankful neighbor, Genevieve Lynch
