Obituary for Daniel E. Taylor

Daniel E.  Taylor


Daniel E. Taylor passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, on February 24, 2021 at his home at Gloria Dei Farms in Hatboro, PA. He was 93 years old. Dan was born in Philadelphia to Catherine (Carrigan) and Daniel J. Taylor on November 24, 1927. He is survived by his loving children, Daniel C. "Rusty" Taylor and his wife, Kim, of Bensalem, Timothy M. Taylor and his wife, Lisa, of Marmora, NJ and Laurence J. "Larry" Taylor and his wife, Debbie, of Southampton. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Zachary, Carly, Jamie and Colin. Dan was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Janie in 2019; and his siblings, John, Michael, Helen and Charles.



Dan was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School (Class of 1945), a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and served in World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was a Transportation Salesman in the trucking industry and enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 28 in Southampton, PA. Dan was a resident of Gloria Dei Farms in Hatboro for 15 years and formerly resided in Southampton and North Wales, PA.



Dan's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 10 to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private with Military Honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery Newtown, PA. Donations in Dan's name may be made to Sisters of Saint Joseph Welcome Center, 728 E. Allegheny Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19134. (ssjwelcomecenter.org).
