Obituary for Richard "Dick" Clifford

Richard "Dick"  Clifford
Richard "Dick" Clifford, a 54-year resident of Upper Southampton, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Dick was born in Shamokin, PA, to the son of the late Ruby and Edward Clifford. He is preceded in death by his beloved son Ricky. Dick is survived by the love of his life of 65 years, his wife, Ann (nee Merkel); children, Marianne Antonelli (Barry), Patty, Karen Chase (Kevin), Tom, and Rob (Paula); 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and by his many nieces and nephews.

Dick was a proud veteran of the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed for 37 years with Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania. Dick's greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Dick's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday evening, January 6th from 6 to 8PM, at the McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave. Southampton, PA, and again on Thursday, January 7th, from 10 to 11AM, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave. Southampton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11AM. For those relatives and friends unable to attend Dick’s Mass of Christian Burial, you may view Live Stream footage at the Jame J. McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page. Dick will be laid to rest with his son Ricky, at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
