Peter F. Hughes, of Southampton, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Pete was 90. He was born in Philadelphia to Peter I. and Genevieve Hughes. Pete is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Janet (Moore); children; Jennifer Ullman (Marc), Anne Megen Lavoie (Michael), and Kathleen Hughes; grandchildren; Alexandra, Abigail, Madeline, and Henry; and brother, Joseph Hughes. Pete was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack, Tom, Henry, and Jim and his sister, Joan Legower.

Peter worked at Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO ) for 45 years, served in the Southampton Lions club as member for 35 yrs and served as secretary and president Also was involved as treasurer for Southampton Day’s , served at Our Lady of Good Council parish as a Eucharist minister , bereavement minister, interfaith representative, taught CCD for years .

Pete's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, January 19, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:00a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11. Pete will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the Hughes family has requested donations in Pete's name be made to Lions Club International Club Eye Bank 401 N 3rd St #305, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
