Obituary for Laurence "Larry" Biddle Jr.

Laurence "Larry"  Biddle Jr.
Laurence “Larry” Biddle, Jr. of Warminster, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 with family by his side. Larry was 81. He was the son of the late Laurence, Sr. and Helen O’Donnell. Larry is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Kay. He is survived by his; children, Kimberly Hurley (Michael), Jennifer Kratz, Laurence Biddle, III (Denise), and Debra McMaster(Robert);13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and by his sister Joan Lofhjelm (Carl). Larry will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Larry was Inducted into the Mansfield University Athletic Hall of Fame for his support and athletic performance as a Football player. He was also inducted into both the Hatboro-Horsham High School Hall of Fame and Wall of Fame for his many years of service as an athletic director, teacher and disciplinarian. He taught at Clearfield High School from 1959-1963 and then moved on to Hatboro-Horsham High School. He filled many roles in the 29+ years at Hatboro-Hosham High School 1964-1993: Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. For 30+ years he was a PIAA Basketball Official and Football Official. In his free time he liked to play golf and just enjoy friends and his family's company. The only thing he did poorly was hunt deer.

Larry's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 6 to 8 PM, at the James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave. Southampton, PA. A second visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct 18, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 Street Rd Warminster, PA. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM . Larry will be laid to rest, privately at the request of his family, in St. Michael's Cemetery in Canton, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions, in memory of Laurence Biddle, Jr., may be sent to the Alzheimers Association Delaware Valley Chapter- 399 Market St. #102 Philadelphia, PA 19106.
