I have known Joe for over 50 yrs. When I was a Philly Cop, Joe would sponsor our softball and football teams. When we were done with the game we went back to Magee's bar for cold beer and meatballs and sausage made by my sister, Rose. Magee's was so well known that the opposing team would also come back for the beer & food. Joe with his dry sene of humor would welcome all of the guys & girls from the districts and we had so many great times and never were there any problems. I would stop by the bar in the evening hours and hang out with the folks from the neighborhood. People from all works of life and ethnic backgrounds were in the bar, they were laughing, joking or solving the world's problem but in those days never a problem or a fight. If the world wanted to find a way for harmony between people of all walks of life they should have been in Magee's in the 70"s & 80's. Joe you will be missed but never forgotten. Thank you for all of the great times I had at magee,s bar. Rest in Peace My Friend
