Obituary for Frederick R. Clemens

Frederick  R.  Clemens
Frederick R. Clemens, Jr., 90, of Huntingdon Valley, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. He was born in Olyphant, PA to Gladys (White) and Frederick Clemens. Fred is survived by his love of 24 years, Dorothy Pennington; his children, sons David (wife Cindy) and Phillip (wife Roxanne), and daughter Lois Hertzog; grandchildren, Kalma Clemens, Teila Bodnari (husband Joshua) and Jessica Hertzog; great grandchildren, Julianna and Gabriel Bodnari; sister, Lenita Merritt; sister-in-law, Linda Clemens; step children, Vickie Long (husband Gene), Constance Ward and Jacqui Riva (husband Tony); step grandchildren, Travis, Jamie and Cameron Hames, Nathaniel Harold, Joseph, Alexandria, and Christina Riva; step great grandchildren, Thalia Medina and Kayla Matos. Fred was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kevin Hertzog, his brother, Lynwood and brother-in-law, Kendell Merritt.
Fred was a World War II veteran and served his country as a member of the Air Force. He had a passion for flying and spent many years after the war as a flight instructor. Fred also had his own auto-body shop and had been active in his community through the VFW and the Lions Club. In addition to enjoying his family, he also cherished his beloved dogs. Many of his neighbors would recognize him for the long walks he would take throughout the neighborhood. Fred also enjoyed swimming, playing cards, dancing, and following the stock market.

Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
