Obituary for John F. McShane

John F.  McShane
John F. McShane, of Upper Southampton, died Saturday, June 1, 2013. John was 79. He was born March 6, 1934, to the late James and Anna McShane.



John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Margaret McShane (nee Yancer). Children: Kathleen Clark (John), John McShane (Carol) and Margaret Bloom (Ken). Grandchildren: Sean and Ryan Clark, Brendan and Marissa McShane, Ian Bloom. Great-granddaughter: Adelynn Clark. Siblings: James, Ann Lange, Joseph (deceased) and Frank; many nieces and nephews, along with several cousins across the pond in Ireland.



A 1951 graduate of Mastbaum Vo-Tech H.S.. Owned and operated John McShane Auto Body for over 50 years. John was a longtime member of Trevose Trotters Hunt Club and the Bucks County Cruisers. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved his antique cars, golfing and Notre Dame Football. Upon his retirement, John enjoyed traveling and retreating to his property near Nockamixon State Park. John was a good, kind, gentle, honest man with a great sense of humor and was always willing to help others. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.



John's family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, June 5, and again from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, June 6, at the James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave. Southampton, PA. Mass will be offered for John on Thursday 11:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA. John will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
