Obituary for Victoria A. Legenski (Miller)

Victoria A. Legenski passed away peacefully on Saturday April 17, 2021. She was 89. Victoria was born in Philadelphia to Maria (nee Ruiz) and Huber Miller. She is survived by her loving children, Diane Brady, Karen Bellingeri, Maria McCullough (John) and Edward D. Legenski (Brenda); grandchildren, Jesse Tunis, Kylie McCullough (Matthew Ruggieri), Nicole Lacouve (Sylvain), Michael Tunis, Katie Legenski, Kara McCullough (Sal Pinero), and Kassidy McCullough: great grandson, Johnny Mac Ruggieri. Victoria was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Edward Legenski, in 2020.

Vicky was born in Philadelphia, but lived with family in El Salvador for 4 years where she learned to speak Spanish fluently. When Vicky returned home to Philadelphia, she attended Frankford High School where she was a cheerleader and made many lifelong friendships. She married her sweetheart, Edward J. Legenski on June 25, 1955 and together they had four children. Vicky was the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She was affectionately known as "Ita" - short for abuelita. Vicky enjoyed traveling, singing and dancing, reading, trips to the Jersey Shore, and spending time with her loved ones. Victoria was young at heart and was always the best dressed in the room. She is remembered for her fun, lighthearted personality.
