Obituary for Peter G. Patselas

Peter “Papou” G. Patselas of Warrington, passed away peacefully on Monday February 8, 2021. Peter was 72. Peter was born in Philadelphia to Esther (nee Kauffman) and George Peter Patselas. He is survived by his children, George Peter (Holly) and Jennifer Petronis (Frank); grandchildren, Madison and Emily Patselas, Frankie and Ella Petronis; sister, Despina Peterman (James) and sister in law, Sandi Patselas and brother to the late Jimmie Patselas, Nieces and Nephews, Cathy Commentucci (Joe), Christelle Patselas, Nick Skoufalos (Jean) Nicholas Skoufalos, Joey Commentucci, Julia Skoufalos, Addison Skoufalos.

He grew up in Huntingdon Valley, attended Abington High School and was drafted during the Vietnam War in 1967 to serve his country until 1969 when he returned home honorably.

Peter cooked and served food to the men on the line with the 4th Infantry Division. Upon completing his tour of duty, Peter married Frances Bouboulis and became a father to a son and daughter. Peter continued to cook for the next 50 years after serving in the war. 47 of those years were dedicated at the Warminster West Diner as the Executive Chef. During this time, he made life long friendships throughout the community, his work and church with the people he encountered daily.

Relatives and friends are invited to Peter's Life Celebration on Wednesday Feb. 17, 2021 from 10 to 11:00 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 7921 Old York Rd., Elkins Park, PA 19027. Service will begin at 11:00. Interment with Military Honors will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
