Condolences

Condolence From: Karen Blumenthal Fox Noonan
Condolence: I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Schenk....I was a student volunteer with her in the nurse's office at Bensalem High in 1976-78. I look back on those days and think of her smiling face and kind spirit. I later went on to medical school, and ran into her occasionally in later years. She clearly influenced my career choice to pursue medicine. I also recall her deep love for her family. May she rest in eternal peace. Sending you all peace and strength.

Condolence: I'm so sad to hear this, if it weren't for Miss Donna myself and my best friend wouldn't have gone on our senior class trip to FL. Our parents couldn't afford to send us, but she found made it happen for us both. I remember being called to the nurses office, walking in and seeing my bestie standing there as confused as I was. Miss Donna proceeded to hand us t-shirts that said we were "Disney bound"!! We cried tears of joy and were in disbelief for days. It was our first experience with such generosity and kindness in such a tumultuous time in our lives. For your years of being an awesome nurse and taking care of Bensalem's students, we thank you...rest in peace Miss Donna ❤️❤️❤️ class of 95

Condolence: We are so fortunate to have known such a special person. We have enjoyed many evenings sitting by the fire at Rick and Robin's talking and laughing and dancing with Donna and Harry. Our shared wedding anniversary, just days apart, was especially memorable. I will miss discussing medicine and Healthcare with Donna as she was very well-informed even in retirement. My kids were touched by Donna as well. She treated them like grandchildren. Somehow remembering their birthdays along with her many grand and great grand children. She showed her caring nursing spirit everyday.

Condolence: O God I bid farewell to this world of toil, full of sinful desires, clinging to you and your great promise of new life, a new home, a great reunion with loved ones. I have valued this life and family you provided. I depended wholly upon you and you blessed me with precious time and enjoyment with family and friends. I watched my children and grandchildren grow and infinitely wondrous were your provisions. You have blessed me with a heart of a servant and I did my best coming to understand genuine Love, a different kind of Love from that of the world which is driven by self-interest. Oh, such Love filled with self-sacrifice, the joy and passion of serving others. I rest in thee who art all Love. My hands shall never be weak, nor my feet stumble, my vision never blurred. Home at last is your servant, in the loving arms of my precious Lord Jesus Christ, refreshed, comforted and at peace.

In many conversations with Aunt Donna, I think this is what she would want to say to us. A life well lived in the sight of God.

Condolence: Mom S was a second mom to me. She was an excellent maternal role model and always had time to talk no matter how busy she was. I admired her tenacity and work ethic as she worked full-time and pursued her college education while raising her children. Her guidance provided me with the foundation to be happy and successful in life. I’m forever indebted to her for her invaluable advice during my life. She will remain in my heart with loving thoughts always.

Condolence: Mom had many names, Donna, Mom, Meem, Meme, Grammy, Mrs. Schenk, Aunt Donna, Toots, and many others we cannot mention that her twin brother favored.
No matter what her name to you...she engraved and deserved a special place in all of our hearts.

Her sincere interest in ALL of her family, friends, and acquaintances was truly remarkable. If you were fortunate to know her then you too were a recipient of the kind and concerning spirit that she freely shared with all.

Her presence in your life, was truly a valueable contribution in one way or another.

We will be forever thankful for the years we shared and forever grateful for the many memories we made.

Rest now Grammy, we know you are in good hands.
We will love you forever Mom.
