Condolence: I remember Mr. Zielinski as a kind neighbor and a loving family man. My condolences to the Zielinski Family on this loss; particularly to Paul, who made me laugh so many times growing up. May your dad rest in peace, and may you all take comfort in knowing his was a life well-lived.

Condolence From: John W Dieckman
Condolence: Dear family,
I would go on retreat with Al every year. This year we both decided to skip it. I never realized I would not see him again in this life.

When my sister lost her son at age 15, he offered to talk with her as he had lost his daughter.

He was a truly great Christian (I do not use term lightly) and always showed great compassion and kindness to me. I was deeply grieved to hear of his death and so sorry I did not know in time to attend the funeral. We will all remember him next year at retreat, God willing. A better man you could not find on this earth.

very fondly,

John Dieckman

Condolence: Dear Anne and family. I just found this link and wanted to share our condolences. I remember the first time I met Itsy was the first time I had met any of my Dad's family. For the first 30 years of my life I never knew the Oczkowicz side of my family. Itsy took an immediate liking to me and we have stayed in touch over the years.. Vicki and I have enjoyed the times we got to spend with him and the family, to get to know all of you better. He was instrumental in healing the gap between his mother and my father before they both passed. I will miss his joy for life, his friendly smile and his true love of family. I know he is looking down on us and watching over all of us from above.

Condolence: Dear Anne and Zelinski family,
Al was a light that shone brightly wherever he went. He also was the friendliest guy I ever met - had the gift of hospitality. He only had to know that I was a relative of other Cursillistas to begin treating me as dear and welcome friend. If he observed anyone in need, he would attend to them immediately and unobtrusively. Who could not recognize his gentle and loving approach to life and people? The spirit of God radiated from his presence.
And one of his special gifts, which he shared generously, was his spirit of playfulness and radiant smile. And he chose a mate, dear Anne, who complemented him perfectly! They have been such a fun couple to share time with. They were made for each other and their devotion inspiring.
Please know that your loss of such a beloved servant of God is deeply felt by everyone whose lives were touched by your dear Al. May your hearts be comforted at this most difficult time, and in the days ahead, as you lift him over to his heavenly home.
Love and prayers,
Pat
