Obituary for Robert H. Lechner

Robert H.  Lechner
Robert H. Lechner (Bob) of Southampton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 29, 2020, at the age of 82.

Bob was beloved husband of Gloria (Corcoran) Lechner with whom she shared 58 devoted years of marriage.

Born in New York City, son of Robert S. And Emily (Winkler) Lechner.

He was a loving and devoted father to Thomas M. (Wendy), Timothy J. (Dottie), Robert F. (Maria) and Proud Grandfather of 7 Grandchildren -Stefanie, Justin, Brianna,Jessica, Ryan, Tommy, & Cassidy.

Bob graduated from Northeast Catholic High School class of 1956, a proud veteran that served in the U.S. Navy, and Graduated from Drexel University in 1970 with an Electrical Engineering degree. He worked at the Philadelphia Electric Company and retired from Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory.

He was friend and teacher to all who knew him, a strong man of faith and friend to all who knew him. Bob as a volunteer to those in need, devoted 36 years delivering food and clothing weekly, to the Saint Francis Inn in Philadelphia. He was a strong supporter of the Pro-Life movement participating in Marches and frequent letter writing to local newspapers.



Relatives and friends are invited to Bob's Mass of Christian Burial on Monday Jan. 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA. There will be no public viewing due to Covid. Interment will be private at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. Donations in Bob's name may be made to St. Francis Inn, 2441 Kensington Ave., Phila., PA 19125. Mass cards will also be greatly appreciated.
