Obituary for Claire M. Toner
Claire M. Toner, 83, passed peacefully on December 17, 2020. Claire was born in Philadelphia to Mary (Hasson) and James Toner, Jr. She spent her retirement years at her home in Ventnor, NJ. She most recently was a resident at Bristol House Memory Care in Warrington, PA.
Claire is survived by her loving children, Patricia Lind, Maureen Richards and Timothy Dynan and her grandchildren, Taryn Heins, Ryan Lind, Brianna Lind, Claudia Richards and Shannon Lind, who all loved her dearly. Claire had a wonderful, loving, special relationship with her grandchildren. They have many cherished memories of their time with her at the shore, and on their many roadtrips to Disney World, Ocean City, MD and Assateague. Claire had a great sense of humor. Nothing was too silly for her to say or do if it would make the kids laugh. She was their Grammy, Gmom, Gmoney and Grandmom Fishy (for her love of Swedish Fish).
We all have so many wonderful memories. Claire loved the seashore, animals, especially her pets, and her sweets - but most of all her family. She will be greatly missed but always remembered with much love and laughter.
Thank you to her son, Tim, and to all of the caregivers who have been a part of Claire’s life this past year.
Claire will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon. Services will be held privately with a Memorial to be held at a later date.
