Obituary for Patricia A. Martin

Patricia A. Martin
Patricia A. Martin passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019. She was 68. Patricia was born in Philadelphia to Edna (nee Moser) and J. Earl Martin. She is survived by siblings, Eileen Austin, J. Earl III (Sue), Carol Selner (Wayne), Maryanne Pale (Jay); nieces and nephews; Holly, Dennis, Katie, Fred, J. Earl IV, Colleen, Michael, Kathleen, Emily, and Abby. Patricia is preceded in death by her nephew Daniel Liam Martin.

Born and raised in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, Pat was always proud of her roots as a “Philly girl.” She attended St. Matthew’s School and St. Hubert’s Catholic High School. Upon graduation, Pat went to work downtown for The Reliance Insurance Company, where she was a faithful employee for more than twenty years. After moving to Lancaster, Pat was employed by the Willow Valley Communities until retirement. Family meant everything to Pat and always looked forward to our large family gatherings. And whatever the occasion, Pat never missed the opportunity to send a greeting card. We always knew she was thinking of us! Pat also loved animals and we all relied on her to be our official dog sitter. Needless to say, our pets were happily spoiled by her. When a change of scenery was desired, Pat also enjoyed spending time at the beach and had many fond memories from Atlantic City to Cape May.

Patricia’s family has requested that her interment be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia’s name may be made to the Women’s Animal Center, 3839 Richelieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 or Four Diamonds, conquering childhood cancer at fourdiamonds.donordrive.com. Condolences may be made to Patricia’s family by visiting www.McGheeFuneralHome.com.
