Obituary for Margaret "Peggy" Nuttall (O'Donnell)
Margaret “Peggy” “Matchie” O’Donnell Nuttall, a much-loved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister and Aunt passed away at age 81, on October 30, 2019, in Flower Mound TX,
with her family at her side. She was born in Bronx, New York, to the late John and Cecilia (Gallagher) O’Donnell, and is preceded in death by her sister, Frances Mikus. Margaret is survived by her children, Beth Kirwan (David) and Robert; her two sisters, Theresa Beveridge (Tom), and Cecilia Anderson, and brother, Jack O’Donnell, as well as her two beloved grandsons, and fifteen nieces and nephews.
She grew up in Philadelphia, a graduate of Little Flower High School, raised her family in Huntingdon Valley, and worked many years as a Leasing Credit Manager, before retiring and moving across the country into her proudest role as Grandmom. A voracious reader, she loved history, crosswords and Scrabble, time spent laughing with her family, and cheering on her grandsons from the sidelines. She was smart and kind, with a tender heart and quick wit, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Margaret’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00, with Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetary in Philadelphia.
