Obituary for Daniel William Nicastro

Daniel William Nicastro
With great sorrow, Daniel William Nicastro passed away after a long battle with kidney failure on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the age of 81 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Tacony in 1938, Dan was the last surviving son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Cavalier) Nicastro and preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence and Louis and his loving wife of 30 years Genevieve (nee Mirarchi). Dan graduated from North Catholic High School and built his life with his devoted wife Genevieve in Huntingdon Valley PA. Dan was a drywall finisher in the Tapers Union District Council 21, Local 1955 for over fourty years. He was dedicated to his family and is survived by his beloved children, Dora Nicastro Patrick, Paula Capone (Vincent), Daniel Jr., Stephen, his eleven grandchildren and long-time girlfriend Dorothy Kennedy.

Daniel’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 10th, from 7 to 9 PM at the James J. McGhee Funeral Home 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA, and again on Wednesday September 11th, from 10 to 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton PA. A mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 AM on Wednesday the 11th. Interment will be in the Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
