Mary A. Van Artsdalen Markelwith passed away peacefully on Sat. August 31, 2019. She was 93 Mary was born in Ridley Park, PA to Margaret (Gallagher) and Albert Ostien. She is survived by her loving children, Teresa Borowy (Edward) and Willaim Van Artsdalen, Jr. (Karen); grandchildren, Marianne Moll (Troy), Edward Borowy, III (Amy), Heather Kremser (John), Jennifer Smith (Michael) Kelsey Van Artsdalen, and Krista Van Artsdalen; great grandchildren, Paige, Miya, Logan, Josh, Evangeline, Joseph and Shawna and great-great grandchild, Oliver. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, William Van Artsdalen, Sr. and Franklin Markelwith; her daughter, Linda Baker; her granddaughter, Susan Van Artsdalen and her brothers, Albert and Thomas Ostien.

Mary's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Sept. 6, 2019 from 11 to 12:30 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 PM. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, the Van Artsdalen family has requested donations in her name be made to the National MS Foundation, P.O. Box 4527, New York, New York,10163 or nationalmssociety.org.
