Condolence From: Misty Gardner
Condolence: My heart goes out to John and his family. I had the pleasure to work with John in the Freedom Region and at HQ and he always had a smile on his face to match his warming spirit. I will always remember our last conversation of us talking about getting ready for the Dragon Boat Race on the Regatta and we laughed about how bad the water smells but how much fun we have. Each time I am in that boat I hope you are watching out for me up there! Remember I am the crazy person who gets in that boat but cannot swim....Rest in Peace..You truly are missed!!!

Condolence: So sorry to learn about John's passing. He and I were on rival tennis teams in high school. I do recall that he won more sets than me during our matches. We then were USNA classmates before starting our careers of service in the Fleet. Take solace knowing that John is in Heaven. Vivat Jesus.

Condolence: Amy and Family - we are shocked and are sending hugs, thoughts, and prayers for all of you. John was an awesome human being and we were privileged to know him. I will never forget the time we spent all weekend together at the Army Navy Game and then at Eagles Game the following day in frigid cold and snowy weather. If there is anything we can do, please don’t hesitate to ask. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Condolence: Amy, Jack, and Matt - I am so very sorry for your loss. John was instrumental in my joining Comcast 2 years ago and I haven’t regretted it for 1 day. I never would have guessed that he would have such an impact on me both professionally and personally. I hope I can honor that by doing the same for my colleagues. His positive energy made a difference and I loved working with him. He spoke of you all often and shared current pictures every time I saw him. He was very proud. We are thinking about you during this very difficult time.

Condolence From: Tom George
Condolence: Dear Amy, Jack, and Matt, Kyong and I are truly devastated to learn of John's passing. He was such a true friend and mentor to me both professionally and personally. While it has been 30+ years, it sure seems like just yesterday that I got to know both of you so well that summer of '88 when John and I "worked" at the USNA Admissions Office. To sum it up, it always took 2 or 3 of ensigns to go buy donuts on Fridays. Lots of golf, parties, tailgaters, beer coolers and kegs. It was a real change from midshipman life and John, being a year senior to the rest of the gang, broke us in well. ..maybe too well. I was so happy to be a part of your wedding the next year, and I have so many fond memories of us crossing paths in California, Pax River, and DC. I wish I had seen all of you more recently as your boys are all grown and our own Jack is now sprouting up. You are a very special family to us, and that will continue even as we miss John so very much. He was a great Navy officer, friend, but especially a husband and father. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Tom, Kyong, and Jack

Condolence: Very sad news. John was an outstanding person and naval officer, always asking the tough questions that made me and the Navy better. I can see from his COMCAST co-workers his drive to improve all those around him did not abate. May the peace that passes all understanding from our Lord and Savior Jesus, be with you. Jim and Lisa Johnson

Condolence From: Brian Ginnane
Condolence: John was a mentor of mine while I served in Philly with the Varsity ICP team. He always carried himself professionally and with great pride in the uniform he wore. While out on the golf course, he acknowledged I may have potential if I had a decent set of clubs. He gave me his own because he felt he needed an upgrade anyways. I still carry those clubs 15 yrs later. They were brand new to me. My deepest condolences to friends and family. Great man.

Condolence From: Kent Van Horn
Condolence: Words cannot express the sorrow I felt when Joe Deleon informed me of John’s passing. John and I were roommates Plebe year in Serene 18 (along with Joey D). John liked to say, “I carried you through Plebe year, Kent.” While I respectfully disagree, he was a great roommate and a man of integrity and trust, and he departed this mortal coil decades too early. How long have you been in the Navy, John Titus? “All me bloomin’ life...” John truly earned the “right to wear, the Navy Blue and Gold!” Rest In Peace, my friend, and Beat Army, sir!

Condolence: Very sad to hear of John's passing. I was in the company just upstairs from him at Navy. It was always great to see his smile. Nothing seemed to bother him ever. Over the last several years I've had great conversation with him at the various reunions. He was a super guy. He will be sorely missed. Many blessings and prayers from the Hogan family to the Titus family. God Bless you all.

Condolence: Amy, Jack, and Matt - I am so very sorry for your loss. I joined John's team at Comcast last May and it's hard for me to put into words what our journey has been like over this past year together. I could have anticipated the impact he would have on me as a colleague and as a professional but what I didn't anticipate was the profound impact he would have on me as a person and the friendship we would develop. His positive energy and focus on giving back to those that need it will stay with me the rest of my life. He spoke of you all often - he was so very proud. My wife and I would like to express our heartfelt condolences and are praying for peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Condolence From: Chris Thomassy
Condolence: A Man of Character and Selflessness! Give you a story: Plebe year 1983. 18th Company (the most sadistic place to be a Plebe). Poor Bob Burns is in another "blacking-out" Celestial-Fix. We huddle in a nearby room to discuss Bob and Upper-Class Thermodynamics. In that room...standing ramrod straight with a sly rye smile on his face...was Midshipman Titus. While we debated self preservation, he looked at us...laughed...and stepped out to become the bait. They immediately and cruelly descended upon him. I don't recall us saving John that day, but I do know he saved Bob. Fairwell, John. We were all better Naval Officers because of your example. I took for granted we had time to reconnect and laugh at a future reunioun. Regrets but much respect for you, brother.

Condolence From: Mary McElroy
Condolence: Amy, Jack, and Matt, I am devastated to learn of John's sudden passing. He and I have been friends since plebe year at Navy where we were both in 18th company. I'm so glad we got to spend some time together again these last few years when we were both in Philadelphia. I will cherish the recent dinner we shared before I left Philadelphia for a new job. Terry and I had the pleasure of meeting John and Amy at a new Korean restaurant John had wanted to try. Great food and fellowship;they even introduced me to kimchi. He was a great man and we miss him already. Rest well, dear John.

Condolence From: Dom Nardini
Condolence: Amy, Jack & Matt; I had the pleasure of working with John at Comcast. He was a mentor and role model to everyone on our team. To say he will be missed does not begin to express the impact he had on our team. We will remember him in the way we carry ourselves as we move forward and hold ourselves up to the same standard as he expected from himself and of us...one of high integrity, moral fiber, principle and family first. I will continue to pray for you and your family to find the strength in everyone around you to get through this difficult time. Dom Nardini

Condolence From: Carlos Couto
Condolence: John was my mentor at Comcast. He generously shared his time with me, and was deeply thoughtful and caring in his effort to help me progress professionally. But more than that, he was a wonderful man who spread joy abundantly. It was impossible not to smile in his presence, not to feel a sense of peace, not to feel happy. To everyone around him, John brought smiles, peace, and happiness. I cannot think of a better way to live. I am grateful to have shared a few steps in my journey with him, and I wish his family well during this difficult time.

Condolence: On behalf of the Comcast California Supply Chain Team, we want to express our most profound and warmest condolences at your loss. John was an incredible partner both professionally and personally with many of us in California. Despite his very busy schedule, he was very liberal with his time. In fact, distance was never a barrier for John. With the fondest of memories, we all remember his trip to California back in September of last year where he was supportive and excited about the state of the business. In fact, our relative success in California would not have been possible without John’s supportive sponsorship and friendship. He will be dearly missed, but many of us will carry his legacy forward by living as he lived: impeccable integrity and sacrificial service to others. He will forever be in our hearts. Amy, Jack and Matt - with our united love, we extend our thoughts and prayers that God’s peace, which surpasses all of our understanding, guard and console your hearts during this very difficult time.

Condolence: John was one of my very favorite people at Comcast and in the world. He was the champion of everyone he considered a friend and so encouraging of our success. I cannot tell you the number of photos I have seen of John's "handsome boys" who he was so proud of. He was consistently bragging about his family and how lucky he was. His last words to me were about the great care Amy took of him after his knee surgery and how lucky is. My husband Steve and I share in your heartbreak and we're sending hugs your way. He will be greatly missed!
