Virginia  McGinty
Virginia M. McGinty (nee Terrify), age 92, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2019.

Born December 28, 1926 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Rollhauser) Terrify.

Virginia was the loving wife of the late John McGinty; cherished mother of John McGinty (Camille), Joan Hayden (Robert), Margaret Jefferson (Robert), James McGinty (Susanne), Mary Gallagher (Gene), and Cathleen Kober (Stephen); devoted grandmother to 15 grandchildren, 47 great- grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; dear sister of Mary Greene, Rose Lamond, the late Betty Premaza, and the late John Terrify.

Virginia lived for many years in Wildwood New Jersey. She loved the shore and the boardwalk, especially the Tram car. She volunteered for the North Wildwood Senior Center. She was known as “Cookie” because of the many cakes and candies she would make. She loved to bake. Every Saturday and holiday we would have cakes, cookies and homemade chocolates.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966 followed by her Memorial Service at 10:00 AM. Interment will be 12:30 PM at Beverly National Cemetery, 916 Bridgeboro Road, Beverly, NJ 08010.

In lieu of flowers, Virginia’s family has requested donations in her name be made to Saint Joseph’s Manor, Unit 3 East, 1616 Huntingdon Pike, Meadowbrook, PA 19046.
