Obituary for Christel Ginsberg (Friz)
Christel Ginsberg, a 40 year resident of the Castor Gardens Section of Philadelphia passed away on Thursday Jan. 24, 2019. She was born in Abington, PA to Heidi Gieseler and Frederick Friz. She is survived by her children; Joel F., Richard S., and Christina A. Ginsberg. Christel is also survived by her two grandchildren; Christopher M. Sullivan and Emily S. Sullivan. Christel is preceded in death by her late husband Joel R. Ginsberg and her daughter-in-law Jessica Slavin Ginsberg.
Christel was a graduate of Germantown High School. She worked at Acme Markets for 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren and the shore. She was a member of St. Luke"s Lutheran Church for many years and a recent member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Christel's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Feb. 1, 2019 from 10 to 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 877 Street Rd., Southampton, PA. Services will begin at 11:00. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the Ginsberg family has requested donations in Christel's name to be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or cancer.org. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.McGheeFueralHome.com.
