Obituary for Jane Kelly

Jane T. Kelly, age 93, passed on Thursday November 22, 2018. Jane was born on March 15, 1925 in Mozart, PA to Veronica and Isadore Rupsis. She is survived by her children, Janemarie Kelly Cloutier, of Langhorne, PA and John J. Kelly, Jr. of Land O'Lakes, FL and two grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John J. Kelly, Sr. of Archbald, Philadelphia, Southampton, PA and Port Charlotte, FL.

Jane graduated from Villa Joseph Marie High School and married her husband John in 1953. Her career as a secretary included positions at Rohm & Haas, Eckels’ School of Mortuary Science, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Keith Valley Middle School, taking breaks to raise her children.

Jane was a social, active woman who was a devout Roman Catholic all her life. Before the decline in her health, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crossword puzzles and watching sporting events. She remained passionate about her Philadelphia sports teams despite living the last 25 years of her life in the Tampa, Florida area. She was overjoyed when the Phillies’ won the World Series in 2008. Her family and friends will always remember her as a person interested in talking to you, even if she didn’t know you.

Jane's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday Dec. 6, 2018 from 6 to 7:00 PM at James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA and again on Fri. Dec. 7 from 10 to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 with interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
