Obituary for Timothy S. McGlone

Timothy S. McGlone
Timothy S. McGlone, age 54, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2018. He was the son of the late Katharine (nee Thomas) and Thomas A. McGlone. Timothy is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Michele (nee Liess); children, Thomas and Maria; brother, Kevin(Dineen), and sisters, Donna Abbott(Jimmy) and Barbara Turner(Andrew), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Timothy is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas A. McGlone.

Tim was a man of many talents who enjoyed fixing things, solving problems and working with his hands. He especially enjoyed spending time in his workshop working with wood and built many beautiful pieces we will treasure. Tim was a wonderful father and husband who loved simply spending time with his family, whether it was watching and sometimes coaching his children’s sports teams or listening to school choir and band performances. He was always available to anyone who needed a sympathetic ear or a helping hand and would make room in his busy schedule to help in any way he could. The beach in Ocean City, NJ was Tim’s happy place, and he thoroughly enjoyed taking his boat out to the bay or ocean for fishing, crabbing or just cruising. In recent years he enjoyed long drives and discovering new places, with a goal to visit many of the country's National Parks. Tim was always very passionate about Philadelphia sports and loved to attend all Philly sports games.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 2, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, at Assumption, B.V.M. Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Rd, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM.

Because of his love for the beach and the peace he found there, Tim's family would like to memorialize him in Ocean City, New Jersey, with a bench in his name. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask for contributions towards the purchase of this bench in Tim’s honor.
