Obituary for Anthony G. DeMito


Anthony G. DeMito passed away peacefully on Friday June 15, 2018. He was 75. Anthony was born in Norristown to Constance (Perseo) and Anthony DeMito. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kathleen (Abbott); children, JeannieMarie DeMito and Anthony J.L. DeMito; 3 grandchildren; and his sister, AnnMarie Nicolosi (Charlie) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony was the President of his senior class at St Matthews 1961. He joined the Air Force in 1964 and served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. He retired in 1998 from Willow Grove Air Reserve Facility after serving for 34 years. He was an avid fisherman belonging to the Buxmont Bass Masters and North American Fishing Club. At one time he belonged to three bowling leagues. He loved his family, friends and life.

Anthony's family will receive relatives and friends on Wed. June 20, 2018 from 10 to 11:30AM at James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA. Services will begin at 11:30. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville. In lieu of flowers, the DeMito family has requested donations in his name be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis TN 38148-0142 or donors@stjude.org.
