Obituary for Glenna R. Johnson (Roberts)
Glenna R. Johnson passed away peacefully on Sunday April 8, 2018. She was 87. Glenna was born in Upper Montclair, NJ to Glena (nee Spencer) and Le Roy D. Roberts. Glenna is survived by her loving children, Edward Verona (Patricia) and Susan Verona (Lloyd Bobb); grandchildren, Norma Verona (Peter Warren), Kathryn Verona (Ryan Pettit) and Theodore Verona; great-grandchildren, Vanessa Warren, Andrea Warren and Claire Pettit.
Glenna spent most of her adult life in Basking Ridge and Hope, New Jersey
and Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. She moved to Warminster in 2014. She
pursued her many hobbies and interests with passion and great aptitude,
including gardening, needlework, cooking, and bridge. She loved sports, and
was an avid golfer, scoring highly in amateur tournaments throughout the
Pocono region. She will be remembered by her many friends as a woman of
independent spirit and good humor.
Glenna's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday April 16, 2018 from 10 to 11:00 AM at Ann's Choice Chapel, 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974. Services will begin at 11:00. Interment will take place on Tues. April 17, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Newark, NJ. In lieu of flowers, Glenna's family has requested donations in her name be made to Lehigh Valley Home Care and Hospice, 502 VNA Road, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
