Obituary for Joseph P. Daciuk


Joseph P. Daciuk, of Southampton, passed away on Fri. Jan. 12, 2018. He was 78. Joe was born in Philadelphia to Helen (Moshowski) and Peter Daciuk. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra (Marshalek); children, Tammy Mullin (Charles), Joette Neal (Steven) and Edward; grandchildren, Bret Mullin, Brittany Matusek, Skyler Gall, Morgan, Juno and Renee Daciuk; great-grandchildren, Connor and Savannah Grace Mullin, Madalyn Kaufman, Ludek Matusek; and best friend, his dog Bo.

Joe was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers for 46 years where he worked as a mason. He used his skills to build fireplaces in all of his homes. In his younger days, he was a volunteer police and fire officer for the Northampton Township Fire Department in Bucks County. He enjoyed hunting on Thanksgiving, bowling and fishing. His biggest enjoyment was going down to the Jersey shore and taking his boat out to crab, followed by a cold beer. If asked, Joe preferred his four legged friends the best.

Joe's family will receive relatives and friends on Thurs. Jan. 18, 2018 from 10 to 11:00 AM at James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA. Services will begin at 11:00. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, the Daciuk family has requested donations in Joe's name be made to the Women's Humane Society, (SPCA) 3839 Richlieu Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020 or womenshumanesociety.org.
