Obituary for Geraldine "Geri" Scanlan

Geraldine "Geri" Dinnien Scanlan passed away on Thursday December 28, 2017. She was 75 years old and was born in Long Island, NY to Ann (Rucco) and Sam Napolitano. She is survived by her loving son, Joseph (Susan); step children, Trish Beasley (Glenn), Jacqui Milano and Joseph Scanlan; as well as being a grandmother and step grandmother to her beloved grandchildren. Geri loved them all equally and her grandchildren were the lights of her life. Geri was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Dinnien, Joseph Scanlan and by her son, John Dinnien.

Geri's zest for life was evident from her extensive travels and love for her family. She touched numerous lives and will be sorely missed. Geri graduated from Little Flower High School in Philadelphia and led a successful career as an office manager at Diamond Furniture. Her willingness to lend an ear, sometimes even a room in her house, and be a loyal friend made her an amazing woman. As a family, she will be with us in spirit and having her in our lives made us all better people.

Geri's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Jan. 3, 2018 from 9 to 11:00 AM at James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham. In lieu of flowers, Geri's family has requested donations in her name be made to Susan G.
