Obituary for Deborah A. Sinex (Cannon)

Deborah A. Sinex, 62, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 3, 2017. She was born in Abington, PA to the late Anna (Narcisi) and Joseph Cannon. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Harry Robert Sinex; her daughter, Tamarah Lynn Iwan (Bob); her siblings, Dawn McGhee, Kathy Yobs (Bob) and Shawn Cannon (Christine); and several nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by her brother in law, James McGhee, III.

Debbie grew up north of Philadelphia in Roslyn, and later in Warminster Pennsylvania. Debbie met Rob
while attending William Tennent High School in a candle factory, married him in 1978, and lived as a military wife in Dover, Delaware, Rantoul, Illinois and Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida over a period of 8 years. Debbie and Rob returned to Warminster/Warrington, Pennsylvania in 1983 and then lived happily in Hummelstown/Hershey Pennsylvania for 28 years.

In her professional life, Debbie worked at Asplundh, Prudential Insurance, American Association of Meat
Processors (AAMP) in Elizabethtown as the Convention Manager, and then 12 years as the rooms inventory manager for the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel. Debbie made life-long friends that she cherished at AAMP and the Sheraton who have proven to be the best and most honorable friends anyone could ask for. Debbie’s childhood friend, Sherri Thatcher has been a soul mate since Debbie and Sherri were children and they stayed in touch through all of her years and especially since the illness that eventually took her. Debbie’s daughter Tammy, has been the light of her life, her purpose for being here, for 32 wonderful years. Tammy learned how to be caring, kind and loving from the most beautiful person in the world.

Debbie loved life, loved her family and friends, and thanked God for every breath given to her. For that, God gave her his grace and his mercy all of her life. Debbie believed she will be living with angels in heaven and will be patiently waiting for him to call the rest of us home to be with her again.

Debbie's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday Dec. 19, 2017 from 10 to 11:30 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey, PA 17033.
