Obituary for James J. McGhee III

James J.  McGhee III
James J. McGhee, III, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was 59. Jim was the son of Isabelle nee Curry and the late James J. McGhee, Jr. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Dawn nee Cannon; son, James J. McGhee, IV; brother; Joseph M. McGhee; Sisters-In-Law, Deborah Sinex (Robert), Robin C. McGhee, Kathleen Yobs (Robert); Brother-In-Law, Shawn Cannon (Christine); Nieces, Tamarah, Casey, Erin, Morgan, Paige & Abigail; Nephews, Patrick, Brendon, Joseph & Michael. Jim is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Christine & by his brother John A. McGhee.

Jim was a proud member of the Plumbers Local 690. He was happy to spend time with his artwork, gardening, & new found love for cooking. Jim's biggest joy was telling his "stories" & caring for others.


Jim's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, NOV 2ND, from 6PM to 9PM, at the James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave. Southampton, PA, and again on Friday, NOV 3RD, from 10:30AM to 12PM, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave. Southampton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM, with the Rev. Timothy Judge as celebrant. Jim will be laid to rest with his daughter Christine at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
