Obituary for Alma Hilda Losch (Belke)

Alma Hilda Losch, our loving mother, passed away at the age of 96 at Neshaminy Manor on Saturday, October 29, 2016.

Wife of late Herman G. Losch, and mother of late infant son, Frederick and daughter of late Herman and Augusta Wolslager Belke.

Alma is survived by her children Linda (Douglas) Strachan, Becky Losch, Barbara Torok and Johanna (Grey) Tilley, three grandchildren, Stefan (Monique), Kate (Ikuo), Dallas, and one great-grandchild, Beren.

She is also survived by her brother Fred and sisters Peggy and Mitzi. She was preceded in death by her brothers Eddie, Carl and Eugene and her sisters Frieda, Emily and Bertha.

Alma was an amazing gardner, cook and artist. She planted beautiful flower gardens and took great pride in maintaining her home along with preparing wonderfully cooked meals. She loved making ceramics, painting landscapes, still lifes and occasionally entered her paintings into the Middletown Grange Fair. Alma was active in her church, volunteering in the office and participating in the Naomi Circle.

She spent her last two and a half years at Neshaminy Manor where she enjoyed art class, bingo, bowling, prom night and a host of other activities that the Manor provided. She was blessed with the compassionate and caring staff on the A-2 unit where she resided.

Alma's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, November 27, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Southampton, PA. A funeral service for Alma will begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment is to be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Southampton, PA or "Gardens at the Manor" at Neshaminy Manor, Warrington, PA.
