Anthony  Menichelli
Anthony Menichelli passed away peacefully on August 27, 2018. He was 87. Anthony was born in Binghamton, New York to Rufina (Verzaro) and Anthony Menichelli. Anthony is survived by his loving children, Luke Menichelli and Anne Menichelli (Sheldon Kernosh); grandchildren, Martina and Joelle Kernosh; sister, Irene Martin and several well loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma, his son, Matthew, his brother, Fred and sisters, Mary Martin, Teresa Benek, and Frances Menichelli.

Anthony survived several health challenges beginning at an early age spending a year in a body cast at ages 10 and 16 in order to heal his hip the best the physicians could of osteomyelitis. He initially returned to high school in a full leg brace. He spent most of his time in the hospital studying and reading.

While in high school Anthony excelled in Art, history, and English. Anthony loved baseball, since he was not able to play, he joined the team as a student manager. Anthony met lifelong friend Paul Kernaklian at Binghamton Central High School. Anthony's success on the New York State Regents exam allowed for him to attend college with a full scholarship to Pratt University.

A graduate of Pratt Institute, his career at Remington-Rand to Univac to Unisys involved preparation of manuals for information systems. Anthony was a dedicated artist who never stopped creating prints or

paintings, even in his last days.

Anthony Menichelli was the husband to his beloved with Irma until her death in 1996. They shared a love for Art and Opera listening to the Metropolitan Opera broadcast every Saturday. Anthony was a loving father his three children Luke, Matthew, and Ann who like their parents shared their love for art and music.


Anthony's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday August 31, 2018 from 10 to 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, the Menichelli family has requested donations in his name be made to American Cancer Society, P.O.
