Brunhilde P. Gaughan passed away peacefully on February 13, 2018. She was 75. Brunhilde was born in Phila. to Ella (Roman) and Paul Joseph Leinmueller. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James; her children, Jeanne Scarola (Matthew), Daniel (Jean) and Deborah Voit (James Jr.); grandchildren, Danielle, Conner, Trip, Cecily and Bryce; and her sister, Ella Wittwer (Lawrence).


While raising her family, Brun pursued a career in journalism despite her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. After graduating with an Associate’s degree from Bucks County Community College in 1988 and a Bachelor’s of Arts from Temple University in 1993, Brun worked as a freelance journalist publishing articles for the Bucks County Courier Times and Public Spirit.

Brun's family will receive relatives and friends on Wed. Feb. 21, 2018 from 10 to 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Glenside. In lieu of flowers, the Gaughan family has requested donations in Brun's name be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Delaware Valley Chapter, 30 S. 17th Street, Suite 800, Phila., PA 19103.
