Elizabeth S. "Lib" McGeever, age 88, of Southampton, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 10, 2017. She was born in Wilkes-Barre to Theresa nee Hogan and Leo Scanlon. Libby is survived by her children, Elizabeth, John (Robin), Mark (Kathy), Theresa Hatter, Barbara, Paul (Eileen Murphy), Patricia Casey (Joe); 9 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen.

Libby's family will receive relatives and friends on Thurs. June 15, 2017 from 6 to 8:00 PM at James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA. A Vigil service will begin promptly at 8:00 PM. On Fri. June 16, a visitation will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA from 10 to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the McGeever family has requested donations in Libby"s name be made to CHOP Cardiac Dept., 34 St. and Civic Center Blvd., Phila., PA 19104.
