Irene Frances McCartney of Warminster, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Thursday, May 4, 2017. Irene was 91.
She was the daughter of the late Genevieve (Reilly) and Joseph Fater. Irene is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Daniel Patrick McCartney; children, Daniel P. Jr. (Andrea), Eileen, Joseph (Betty), Bridget Carfi (Joseph), Bryan (Karen), Timothy, Maura Newns (Steve), and Kevin (Veronica); grandchildren, Tara, Erin, Breinn, Kylen, Daniel, Kerri, Mallory, Courtney, Jamie, Kristen, Elizabeth, Joseph, Danielle, George, Connor, Gregory, Brianna, Bryan, Sean, Caitlin, Stephen, Owen, Bridget, Kevin, Falynn, and Kendall. Irene is also survived by her loving 18 great-grandchildren.
Irene's family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at the James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, and again from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 12, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately at the request of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Irene Frances McCartney may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
