Fortunata Mary Donis (nee Di Giacomo), 84, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her children on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She was born in Philadelphia to Josephine (nee Sacchetti) and Egidio Di Giacomo. Fortunata is preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Ess Donis, Jr and son, Charles. She is survived by her loving children, Joseph Ess, III (Lisa), John, Gregory, Maria Lande (Jon), and Judith Anne Stroud (Adam); grandchildren, Alexander, Andrew, Juliana, Joseph, Christopher, Alexandra, Nathan, and Lucas.

Fortunata met her husband in the church choir at Saint Mary of the Eternal where she was the soloist. The two partnered in both love and work at Donis-Kassel Associates, Inc. in Doylestown, PA.

Fortunata's family will receive relatives and friends on Sat. April 8, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA. Words of Remembrance will begin at 10:45 and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM. Fortunata will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.

In lieu of flowers, the Donis family has requested donations in her name be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, same address as above.
