Obituary for Jacquelyn M. Bowden

Jacquelyn M. Bowden passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017. She was 64.
She was born in Montclair, N.J. to Mary Anna (McCarthy) and George Bowden Sr.
She is survived by her siblings, George Jr. (Connie) and Richard (Kathy); nieces and nephews, Eric Bowden, Ben West (Wendy), Jennifer Bowden, Kevin Bowden (Ashley) and Tori Martinez (Rob); and grand nieces and nephews, Annika and Benjamin.
Jacquelyn and her family lived in Gravois Mills, Missouri until 1963, when they moved to Cedar Grove, N.J. She graduated from Cedar Grove Memorial High School in 1971.
Jacquelyn established a career as a medical assistant working at a doctor's office in New Jersey.
She married Anthony Bradley (deceased) in 1980. In 1990, she moved to Croydon, Pa. and subsequently to Southampton, Pa., where she resided for 20 years. Jacquelyn worked for a local physicians office until recently.
She loved children and was a favorite of her nieces and nephews. Jacquelyn also loved pets and is sorely missed by her cat, Sweetie. Her interests included reading, making jewelry and keeping up with advances in medicine.
Jacquelyn's family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at the James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, Pa., where services will begin at 6 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the Bowden family has requested donations in her name be made to the Women's Humane Society, 3839 Richlieu Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.
