Malcolm R.  Erwin
Malcolm R. Erwin passed away peacefully on November 9, 2016. He was born in Abington to Doris (nee Heath) and Samuel B. Erwin. Malcolm is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Janet (nee Murphy); his daughters, Kathy Wolcott (Tim), Sheri White (Brian) and Bonnie; adoring grandchildren, Ryan Wolcott (Emily) and Andrew White; his sister, Beverly Lawrence (Will) and sister in law, Blanche Erwin. He was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Erwin.

Malcolm graduated Hatboro Horsham High School where he played on the football team. He married his High School sweetheart. He and Janet were married June 21 1952. He attended University of Pennsylvania where he received his degree in education. Malcolm was a teacher at William Tennent High School for over 25 years.He was an avid saltwater sportsman and loved boating. He owned a boat for many years and enjoyed summers vacationing on Long Beach Island. Was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

He was a devoted sports fan especially football - the Eagles, Temple University and Penn State .He loved books and loved reading. He enjoyed history and politics and had many hearty discussions with both of his grandsons.

Malcolm’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thurs. Nov. 17, 2016 from 2 to 3 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 877 Street Road, Southampton, PA. Services will begin at 3 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Malcolm’s family has requested donations in his name be made to American Diabetes Assoc., 150 Monument Rd., Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 or diabetes.org.
