Obituary for Anne B. Whitehead (Burns)

Anne B. Whitehead (nee Burns) passed away on September 13, 2016. She was born in Philadelphia to Anna (nee Martin) and John L. Burns. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Milton; her sons, David (Renee) and Daniel (Ruth); and her adored grandchildren, Madelaine, Maxwell, Lydia and Matthew.

Anne graduated from Kensington High School for Girls and Temple University College of Education. Anne was a Volunteer at Huntingdon Valley United Methodist Church, Hope Lodge, Jarrettown United Methodist Church, and Ann's Choice. As a child she lived on Elfreths Alley, and in West Philadelphia and Kensington. She met her husband at East Montgomery Avenue United Methodist Church and raised her family in Southampton and Huntingdon Valley.

Anne’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday September, 18 from 6 to 8:00 PM at James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA and again on Monday September, 19 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Ann’s Choice Chapel, 30000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA. Services will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting.
