Karen E. Hartranft, 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 31, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born in Philadelphia to Marie (nee Russell) and Frederick Pray. Karen is survived by her loving children, Scott (Lauren) and Tracy Hartranft (Ignacio Sanchez); her grandchildren, Jocelyn and Juliana Sanchez; her brother, Rev. Frederick Pray (Roberta);nieces and nephews, Michael, Lori, Melissa and Tom and her many friends who will miss her sense of humor, laughter and loyalty. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald C. in 1997.


Karen’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday June 2, 2016 from 6 to 8:00 PM at James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA. Services for Karen will be held on Friday June 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church Oxford, 6901 Rising Sun Ave., Phila., PA 19111. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville. In lieu of flowers, the Hartranft family has requested donations in Karen’s name be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., #200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 or pancan.org.
