Obituary for Walter E. Donovan

Walter E.  Donovan




Walter E. Donovan, 85, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. He was born in Philadelphia to Madeleine and Walter E. Donovan. Walt is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Marie (nee Diegnan); his eight children, Walter (Debora), Rose Kennedy (Peter), Terrance, Mary Kate Pullman (Edward), Bridget Coughlin (Bernie), Maureen Mullins (David), Timothy (Danielle) and Megen Endrick (Ron). He was the proud grandfather of 28 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. Walt is survived by sisters, Madeleine Marcotte and Sarita Gibney and was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosemarie Santarlasci, Geraldine Honohan, Edward Donovan and Jeanne DeLuca.

Walt was a graduate of St. Joseph's Preparatory High School and Temple University and was a self employed CPA for many years. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran where he served in the Korean War.

Walt’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday May 6, 2016 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM. Interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Walt’s family has requested donations in his name be made to The American Heart Assoc., Team Donovan/ AHA Heart Walk, ATTN: Sarah Smart, 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 700, Phila., PA 19103 or by visiting heart.org.
